Introduction:

Blockchain projects revolve around token appreciation to create a virtuous cycle of adoption. It is extremely important to design the mechanics in such a way that the community is always engaged and the ecosystem feels like a game, which leads to more engagement and contribution. This means that the whole token economy is nothing but a very well-designed game, we have evolved as a community over time (650ish for now) but rather than looking like a DeFi community, it’s more like a gaming community (Includes player levels, contributors and now Karma).

Keeping this in mind, we are looking to design the $BRAH economy in such a way that it mimics a gaming community, rather than a DeFi token.

$KARMA

Karma (/ˈkɑːrmə/; Sanskrit: कर्म, IPA: [ˈkɐɽmɐ] (listen); Pali: kamma) means action, work, or deed. For the believers in spirituality the term also refers to the spiritual principle of cause and effect, often descriptively called the principle of karma, wherein intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect): Good intent and good deeds contribute to good karma and happier rebirths, while bad intent and bad deeds contribute to bad karma and bad rebirths.

Karma revolves around the Brahma community, like the above definition, the Karma (points) decide the member’s place in the community and every phase of the Brahma’s transition (New vaults, new Chains, voting, airdrops, etc).

We experimented with BCHAD tokens for the on-chain voting and had over 150+ user claims and around 100 voted. Again this was very early during our experimentation and we organically moved to Karma points.
